The Game Show Night Text-to-Play System

The Game Show Night uses a simple text-based registration system during live game events so players and teams can participate in the game. This system is designed to protect player privacy and limit the use of phone numbers to the game experience only.

By texting our game number during an event, you agree to the Privacy Policy and SMS Terms of Service below.

When you text The Game Show Night game number, our system may temporarily receive your mobile phone number and your submitted team name.

The purpose of this information is only to allow your team to register and participate in the live game.

We do not collect your phone number for marketing purposes.
We do not sell your phone number.
We do not share your phone number with sponsors, venues, hosts, advertisers, or third parties for promotional use.

The workflow is simple:

1. A player texts the game number to register for the game.
2. The system asks for the team name.
3. Once the team name is entered, the phone number is masked within the software.
4. From that point forward, the team is identified by the team name, not the phone number.
5. The host sees the team name only.
6. The phone number is not displayed to the host during the game.
7. At the end of the game, player and text registration information is cleared from the active game system.

The phone number is used only as a temporary technical identifier so the software knows which incoming text belongs to which team.

Your phone number and team name are used only to:

• Register your team for the current game.
• Display your team name during the game.
• Allow your team to participate through the text-to-play system.
• Manage the live game experience.

We do not use your number to send future promotional messages, event reminders, advertisements, or follow-up texts after the game.

The Game Show Night does not use this system to start text conversations with players.

After the game ends, you will not receive return texts, marketing messages, sales messages, or future promotional messages from this text-to-play system.

Participation is limited to the game you are currently playing.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share player phone numbers.

Phone numbers are not provided to the game host, venue, event sponsor, other players, or outside marketing partners.

The text messaging service may be processed through third-party technology providers, such as Twilio, solely for the purpose of sending and receiving game-related text messages.

Player registration information is temporary.

After the game, the active text and player information is cleared from the game system. We do not maintain phone numbers for future outreach or marketing.

Some limited technical records may be temporarily retained by our messaging provider as part of normal system operations, compliance, security, troubleshooting, or billing processes.

During the game, your team name may be visible on the game screen.

Your phone number is not shown on the game screen and is not shown to the host as part of normal gameplay.

Players should avoid using full names, private information, offensive language, or sensitive personal details as team names.

The text-to-play system is intended for use by event participants as part of a live game experience. Players under 13 should only participate with permission and supervision from a parent, guardian, school, organization, or event host responsible for the event.

We take reasonable steps to protect player information and limit access to only what is needed for the live game system to function.

Because text messaging and internet-based systems are not guaranteed to be completely secure, players should not submit sensitive personal information through the text-to-play system.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and phone plan.The Game Show Night is not responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier.

The current gameplay does not support outbound text messaging. However if you ever do get a message, You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying:STOPYou may also use other standard opt-out keywords supported by the messaging provider, such as CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, STOPALL, REVOKE, or OPTOUT.Once you opt out, you may no longer be able to participate in the text-to-play portion of the game unless you rejoin according to the system’s available process.
